Yvonne and Steve’s unique “hands on” comprehensive horticultural background and knowledge provides our clients unparalleled service when it comes time to plant out the garden. We have our own wholesale nursery to cater for our design clients, supplying plants delivered to the property.
Planting is a specialist skill and it is essential that proper cultivation and planting technique is used to provide an opportunity for the plants to “thrive” not just survive. We know the right time to plant, the right mixture of soils and fertilizers, how to plant the plant properly “faced” to get the best view of the plants and how to look after your plants in the first critical weeks after planting
- For the reasons stated above, we strongly recommend the use of a specialist planting crew. We have a number of these crews available and can arrange this for you. Once the landscapers have completed the construction of the garden areas, Wells Design will hand source your plants to ensure only the best quality and healthiest plants from our own nursery and our partners.
- As we are direct growers, we can pass on these savings to you. We do not supply “cheap” plants, many people fall into the trap of buying bargain basement plants from clearance sales which invariably ends with high plant losses and poor growth performance.
- We will hand pick the plants, deliver them to your property and place them according to the design. We work with our planting teams to coordinate deliveries and plant set out whilst the planting team are there. We then return after 1 week after planting to check the progress of the plants and to make any necessary adjustments
